Nicki Minaj has cancelled her appearance at this weekend&rsquos V Festival due to &lsquostrained vocal cords&rsquo. Sad face.&nbsp

V Festival reps released the following statement about her not turning up: &ldquoMiss Minaj’s band and crew have all arrived in the UK ahead of the efficiency at the festival this weekend, nevertheless as the artist herself boarded her flight from New York on Friday 17th August, she felt unwell again.”

According to Digital Spy the statement continued, “This is in spite of having believed she had overcome her vocal cord troubles from earlier in the week. Getting revisited her medical professional she has now been suggested to rest for a week, which regrettably suggests that she is no longer in a position to perform at V Festival.”

Festival organisers have decided to bump up LMFAO into Nicki&rsquos slot and have wished her a &ldquospeedy recovery&rdquo.

Nicki had tweeted earlier in the week, ” It’s official, my voice is GONE!” right after finishing a couple of gigs with Drake in New York City. It&rsquos a shame she couldn&rsquot get better in time for V, but the show need to go on!
