Typically Russell Brand has skirted over the subject of his divorce from Katy Perry in a pretty unemotional way throughout interviews. In truth he&rsquos gone so far as to just describe the process as &ldquoadmin&rdquo, which is technically spot on but also just weird.

Now Russ has gone and said some items about his ex which may well make your eyes go slightly red &ndash from tears that is. He revealed in the course of an interview in the US that he was quite &ldquointo&rdquo the notion of having youngsters with the singer.

“I was genuinely into the thought of marriage and obtaining children,” he said. “She’s a great individual, I’ve got nothing at all but like for her. I loved her so a lot, [but the divorce] just seemed like the sensible issue to do… I just loved her so substantially.”

“I was really, truly in enjoy with her, but it was tricky to see each other… We were together when it was appropriate to be with each other, and when it wasn’t we worked it out… It was a lovely relationship… it mostly did not function for practical causes…”

“I don’t want anything to hurt her. She’s younger than me, she’s a young woman and she’s wonderful and she’s sensitive and I care about her deeply… I don’t want to be too glib.”

And so with that in mind he ended his commentary about the break-up on a constructive note saying that possibly factors had indeed worked out for the greatest for the two:

“We did perform it out, she’s happy, I am satisfied.”
